CodeFest is a community of students, fighting for a better future through computer science!
TechCodes hosted its first annual 24-hour hackathon event, CodeFest, virtually on March 14th, 17th, and 20th. The theme of this year’s hackathon was Humanitarian Themes. Driven by a common mission of fighting for a better future with computer science, innovative programmers, designers, and developers with various coding experience and skill sets took part in thought-provoking challenges and collaborated in like-minded and diverse groups of people. We had over 130 participants joining us from around the world, including New York City, Connecticut, Washington and India. Participants competed for a total prize pool worth up to thousands of dollars for the best projects! To supplement the participants’ developmental experience, we offered educational resources, such as workshops and keynote addresses, where participants were introduced to new computer science topics and learned from the experiences with industry leaders.
